Joe is an improvising pianist and composer whose music draws from jazz, experimental and contemporary classical traditions. He won the 2013 National Jazz Award, the 2014 Bell Award for Young Australian Jazz Musician of the Year and was a finalist in the 2016 Freedman Jazz Fellowship. He Holds a PhD in music performance from Monash University.
